The Philharmonic Society of Selangor is organising this Finance 101 Workshop - a one-day, hands-on workshop designed especially for those in small businesses, the creative and performing arts, plus freelancers and those in the gig-economy.

Whether you're a small business owner, musician, actor, dancer, artist, writer, or behind-the-scenes maker, this workshop will give you the tools to feel more confident about managing money in both personal and project-based settings.

This workshop will gently empower you in:

* Making sense of financial statements (without the jargon)

* Understanding budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, difference between capital and revenue expenditure, cash flow statements etc

* Managing irregular income and cash flow as a creative professional

* Linking your artistic goals with foundational financial knowledge 

Be confident in your creativity and out yourself on the path to thrive while empowering yourself with this financial knowledge.

About The Trainer: 
Chuen Seng Yung (CS Yung) has over four decades of experience in auditing, accounting, treasury, and corporate training. He has worked across industries from healthcare to retail, and is passionate about empowering individuals with financial literacy that is practical and usable.
